Galtaji Temple is another Historical site to visit in the Pink City, Jaipur. The temple had outlined by the Majestic Aravalli Hills and the proper location is in the laps of hilly terrain. The temple consists of a number of Shrines, pavilions, natural springs, and Holy Kunds. It is among the Jaipur tourist places which the tourists love.

The surrounding of the temple is extremely beautiful and well maintained. The Galtaji Temple is built up of Pink Sandstone. The temple is located inside the complex of City Palace, Jaipur. The walls of the temple have beautifully decorated with paintings and carvings. The temple has a unique architecture and had built like a Palace, hence it is worth visiting.

History Of Galtaji Temple

It is said that Diwan Rao Kriparam was the one who built the temple. Before the construction of the temple, this place was very important for Vaishavites Ramanandis. The locals believe that Ramanandi Sadhu lived only on Milk. Later the place became religiously important for both Ramanandi Hindus and Naga Sadhus.

Also, the Mughal Emperor, Akbar visited this temple and donated more than 2500 bighas of land for the temple after his prayers had answered and wishes also fulfilled. The historical document is still preserved. This holy place should not miss any way if there is a plan to go Jaipur.

The most attractive location of this temple is the natural springs. There are seven Kunds. The GaltaKund is actually to be the holiest among all as its water never dries. Thousands of devotees come here everywhere to bathe in this Holy Kund. This spiritual place is therefore this place must include in the JAIPUR TOUR PACKAGES without any doubt.
