The Digambar Jain Mandir is a religious place to visit in the Jaipur City of Rajasthan. There are several Jaipur tourist places and is an ancient and very holy temple at Sanghiji indeed.

It is one of the teerth places of Jain community. Lord Rishabhanatha is the God to whom this temple is a tribute. The interesting fact about this temple is that it has underground floors but the sad part is, it always remains closed due to religious beliefs.

Attractions of Digambar Jain Mandir

The temple is a seven-storied building. The interesting feature of this temple is its architecture which is quite different from Rajasthani or Rajputana style. The architecture is interesting with drawings craved with stones. It is built in Shikhara style which has often compared with the Dilwara Temple of Mount Abu.

There are several stone carvings in the inner walls of the temple which is so lovable for the visitors. These cravings have designs of Lotus flowers and elephants etc.

There is a big stone shrine which can be seen once the devotees enter the inner temple. The stone-built shrine has three pinnacles which are beautiful and worth watching. There is an eye-catching idol of Lord Parshwanath along with a total of seven serpent hoods. Along with this, there are other attractive idols in the temple.

There is a belief that in the midst of the underground portion, a small and ancient temple actually located. And the shocking part about this temple is that it has guarded by Yaksha (He is one of the Devas of Hindus). The Digambar Jain Temple of Sanghiji is must include in the JAIPUR TOUR PACKAGE.

The Digambar Jain Mandir had made from Red Sandstone. According to one of the inscriptions, it was built in the 10th Century. This ancient temple has survived the Mughal Invasions, that was of the Rajputs along with all the natural calamities.

The Digambar Jain Mandir also has a Dharamshala which has all the latest facilities of food and residency. If it is a plan to go Jaipur, this place should not miss anyway.
