Small, simple yet magnificent beauty of the Avani Betta is one of the top places to visit near Bangalore.  It is a small village in the district of Mulabaagilu taluk in the Kolara district of Karnataka.
 
The Kolar gold Field is miles away from this location.  Avani Betta is great for treks and even popular worship abodes are located to drive the tourists and archaeologists in the location time and again.

Avani Bettahistory

Avani Betta is also known for the Sita Temple situated on the top hill of this area. This popular temple is dedicated to the Devi Sita the most alluring character of the Ramayana. It is said that Sita and her two sons, Lava and Kusha, resided in Avani Betta Kolar during her exile in the forest area.

This place is even considered to be the south Gaya, where the ancient temples majorly known as Ramalingeshwara, Shatrugneshwara, Lakshmaneshwara and Bharateshwara were found in the ancient temples. These temples are greatly worshipped which dated back in the Nolamba Dynasty period.

The Jambavantha temple is located at Avani Betta Kolar.  The legend Dwapara Yuga fought with Lord Krishna in the wish to procure the Samanthaka Mani.  Although he lost the battle to Krishna, the landmark remained as one of the symbolic locations that are why it is visited time to time by the tourists to witness the historical days and events.

Avani Betta trek

Trekking is one of the most amazing things that you can explore to visit Avani Betta. This hamlet like location is relatively an easy one. This hillock has step curves which are a little difficult to climb but if you are trek lover you will make it through. It is advised to begin the trek in the afternoon to witness the alluring sunset and get rid of the extraordinary hot environment. 

While climbing on the mountains ranges the surrounded huge boulders are witnessed which is noticed for 3-4 billion years ago. The strong winds are very soothing and you will feel the freshness from inside while trekking. The interesting shapes of the boulders and the chilling shades over the top of the hill are fantastic to witness.
 
You will notice a huge shape of burger bread rocks created mainly due to the natural process of erosion. It is on every edge of the trek on the way to the hilltop of Avani Betta. Apart from this, the lotus blossoms are observed at the base do the hills at this destination.

The timing to visit this place is set as 7: 30 am to 3: 30 pm.  This auspicious location is a historically important destination for many travellers. 

Exploring one day trip from Bangalore to the Avani Betta Kolar is not at all a bad choice. This place is perfect for road trips as well.  It may be spiritually high place due to too much of temples and architects. But the ways of trekking or hiking is wonderful.  From the foothills to the top the entire journey to this place is the memory creation zone.
