The most popular fold museum Janapada Loka is known by the name of Fort Art Museum, an exclusive display of the ancient rural folk arts of the state of Karnataka. This is one of the top places to visit near Bangalore, where the culture has been enhanced exclusively and amazingly.

This location translates to the Folk world is chiefly dedicated for promoting and preserving the unique folk arts and cultures at its best way. The destination is situated at the Ramanagara The district which is 53 kilometres from the cosmopolitan city of Bengaluru and the Mysore high way.

There are around 5000 folk artefacts available in the place, which includes a large multiplicity of the persistent hunting equipment. This rustic school has the measures of the old school, which creates traditional and creative handmade products to make the various items. It includes artefacts like colorful puppets, wares, and many more.

This is not only limited to artefacts, in fact, the various the theme of the folk literature, the music festival, handmade sculptures and even the lifestyle is highly followed by the residents here.

Janapada Loka timings

The place stays open for the travellers from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm in the evening. On the Tuesday and even on the national holidays, they keep the place closed. 

Janapada Loka entry fee

There is an entry fee of 10 rupees for the adult entry and 5 rupees for the kids. They often charge Rs 100 for taking pictures inside the museum with no permission.

Exploring the Festivals at Janapada Loka

Every year during the time of February and March the popular Lokostava takes place. Around October the festivals of Dussera takes place.The birth centenary of Nage Gowda is celebrated in Lokotsava for two days. There is an assembly of artists and folklorists taking part here.
  
While exploring the museum of the Janapada Loka, the locals will welcome the tourists with the trumpets set on the pillar sung by the guards at the gateway. The flags displayed the images of Lord Shiva, and Vishnu everywhere. 

At the information centre of the museum situates the Lok Mata Mandir, where flocks of the pets and swans surround the place, making it look vibrant.  The milky-white glory of the swans is a fantastic look at the museum.
