Nrityagram (Bangalore)

Amidst the beauty of nature, the dance village Nrityagram is a beautiful location. It is one of the most talked about places to visit near Bangalore. Finding the well structured and conceptualized Odissi dancer structures of the famous Protima Gouri is the uniqueness of the place. Nrityagram was established in 1990.

Located far around 35 kilometers outside the city of Bangalore, this place has a community of dancers. They have forsaken the land and maintain the words spoken by Protima Gouri. She was a legendary dancer and offered many to this village. The making of mud huts, the open green spaces makes the habitant here stays in good condition.
 
A visit to this place for a day will offer you the chance to explore the Hessarghatta reservoir. It is located only 5 kilometers from the Nrityagram village.

Nrityagram architecture

The world’s first Gurukul resides in India, namely, Nrityagram is based near Bangalore. The popular architect Gerard Da Cunha designed Nrityagram.  The place is simple yet magnificent, small huts with an amphitheatre are a wonderful architecture. The community forms the dancer ceremony in those huts. The amphitheatre is red earth made structures is a wonderful feature. 

Things to do 

The yacht club comes up with organizing the boat sailing and races in the water. This is one of the top activities explored here at Nrityagram. Apart from a nature walk inside the garden of Nrityagram, exploring the amphitheatre, visiting the temple of Dedication and the Dance Gurukul are the attractions here.
