Kailasakona Waterfalls

The story goes that Lord Kailasanatheswara Swamy came to earth to witness the wedding of Lord Venkateswara Swami to Goddess Padmavathi at Narayanavanam, which is 9 km away from Kailasakona Falls. The name Kailasakona comes from Lord Kailasanatheswara, who is staying here to meditate because he likes how beautiful and quiet it is.

Sources say that Lord Kailasanatheswara Swamy was present at Narayanavanam for the wedding of Lord Venkateshwara Swami and Goddess Padmavathi. Then, he chose this waterfall as a place to do punishment for a while. That's why it is famous as Kailasakona.

The best time to visit 

Different people have different ideas about the best time to see Talakona waterfall. It's best to visit between October and January, especially during the rainy season. At this time of year, the forest around the falls is very green, and a few small streams cut through it.
