The Kailasakona Waterfalls are beautiful and have an exciting history. They are in Nagari Valley, which is close to Tirupati. There is a story in which Lord Kailasanatheshwara married Lord Venkateshwara Swami and Goddess Padmavati and then did penance here. The Kailasakona Waterfalls is one of the best places to visit near Tirupati.

The Kailasakona waterfalls have clear water and minerals. It is believed that they have medicinal and healing qualities. The people who came to visit the place liked it. Watch for the 10 km mark on the road to Puttur. To reach the waterfall, turn left and drive for about 2 km.

The waterfall is about 30 meters high and flows into a small pond below a rock. Tourists aren't allowed to climb to the top of the falls, but the Kailasakona Waterfalls must be visited during the Tirupati tour package.

What is the history of Kailasakona waterfalls?

This is a small temple of Lord Shiva and Parvati near the waterfall. The story goes that Lord Kailasanatheswara Swamy came to earth to witness the wedding of Lord Venkateswara Swami to Goddess Padmavathi at Narayanavanam, which is 9 km away from Kailasakona Falls. The name Kailasakona comes from Lord Kailasanatheswara, who is staying here to meditate because he likes how beautiful and quiet it is.

Sources say that Lord Kailasanatheswara Swamy was present at Narayanavanam for the wedding of Lord Venkateshwara Swami and Goddess Padmavathi. Then, he chose this waterfall as a place to do punishment for a while. That's why it is famous as Kailasakona.
