Kalyani Dam

The Kalyani Dam is a gravity dam that came into existence across the Swarnamukhi River in the Indian town of Tirupati in the Chittoor District. This dam is one of the main ways water gets to Tirupati and the areas that drain into it. 

Once it's complete, the dam will be able to meet Tirupati's water needs for at least years. Kalyani Dam is the primary water source for people who live in Tirupati and for the many visitors who come there every year.

In 1977, the dam was built. The dam was constructed across the Swarnamukhi River and can hold 25 million cubic metres of water. It has hills that are part of the Seshachalam Hills, which are degrees around it. The beautiful scenery of the dam makes it one of the best places to visit in Tirupati.

The atmosphere of the dam is very natural and beautiful. The dam offers lovely views. The lake has forests on both sides, making it look more attractive. Wild plants in shades of red, purple, yellow, and more will greet you along the path to the dam.

The best time to visit 

The best time to come is from November to January, when it rains a lot, and the dam fills up. The Kalyani dam is worth visiting during the Tirupati tour package. There is a beautiful water reservoir in the middle of some hills, and it's a sight for all guests and tourists.
