Padakavitha Pitamaha Sri Tallapaka Annamacharya was born in Tallapaka. He wrote over 32,000 Keerthanas about Sri Venkateswara Swamy of Tirumala. People can see the temple of Vishnu in Tallapaka. Sri Chennakesava Swamy is the temple's main god. He is famous for helping followers in great need and blessing them in a big way.

People lived in palm leaf huts, so the area was once called Tatipaka. In Tamil, the hut is also famous as Paka. Tallapaka replaced Tatipaka in the end. One of the old temples in Tallapaka is the Sri Chennakesava Swamy Temple. The Tallapaka is one of the best places to visit in Tirupati.

History

Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams has worked to improve the temple in the last ten years. The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams are in charge of running the temple right now. The ancestors of Tallapaka Annamacharya worshipped Sri Chennakesava Swamy.

In Annamayya's history, it is written that her grandpa Narayanaiah was a devotee of the Swami. A story from the area also says that Sri Chennakesava Swamy wrote the Beejaksharas on Tallapaka Annamacharya's tongue.

Temple's Architecture in Tallapaka

In the town, the Sri Chennakesava Swamy temple is next to Annamacharya's house. In front of the temple is the Sri Sudarshana Chakrathalwar Temple. There is a Mukha Mandapam and a Garbhalayam in the building. Sri Sudarshan Chakra Talwar is cut into a black stone in Garbhalayam. We can see Lord Krishna lying down with butter in his hand at the base of the Sudarshana Chakra.

People pray to Sri Sudarshana Chakrattalwar as well as Sri Santhana Venugopala Swamy. The Sri Chennakesava Swamy temple is in a large area that faces east. On the temple grounds, in front of the main temple, there are the Balipeetham, Dwajasthambam, and Garudalwar Mandapams.

The main temple has four mandapas: the Garbhagriha, the Mantralayam, the Mukha Mandapa, and the Mantralayam. One of the most essential parts of the temple is the statue of Sri Chennakesava Swamy, which has four hands: Shanku, Chakra, Gadha, and Abhaya Hastam. Tallapaka is a place that you should see as part of a Tirupati tour package.
