The Sri Prasanna Venkateswara Swamy Temple is in the village of Appalayagunta, which is 16 km from Tirupati in Andhra Pradesh, India. The temple honours Lord Venkateswara, also famous as Prasanna Venkateswara. The previous god is standing and faces east. Unlike most Venkateswara temples, this one has the god's right hand in the Abhaya pose and his left hand in the Kati pose.
People can see a lot of old statues of Goddess Padmavathi and Sri Andal in this temple. There is also a shrine for Anjaneya in the building. People who are followers of the wind god worship the massive statue of him as a cure for "chronic diseases." In this temple, unlike the main temple, the main god is in the Abhaya Hastha pose.
Prasanna Venkateswara Swamy Temple History
It is one of the many essential temples that are among the places to visit in Tirupati. Since 1988, Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams have been in charge of this temple.
King of Karvetinagaram, Sri Venkata Perumal Raju Brahmadeva, built the Sri Prasanna Venkateswara Swamy temple in 1232 AD. People think of it as an old temple. It is in the Vadamalapeta Mandal of the Chittoor District.
People think he blessed the saints who saw him marry Goddess Padmavathi, which is why his hands are in a blessing position. In this temple, women who are married to Sri Prasanna Venkateswara Swamy are Goddess Padmavathi and Goddess Sri Andal. Two temples in the temple area are dedicated to these women.
Every year, Brahmotsavam and Teppotsavam happen in a big way. Also, it is the best time to visit. The Prasanna Venkateswara Swamy Temple must be visited during the Tirupati tour package.
The best time to visit
There are many people in Tirupati all year. Still, the best time to go is from September to February when it is warm, primarily with only a few rainy days. Tirupati is less pleasant to visit in the summer because it's too hot and humid.
