Thiruttani is a small town in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. It is famous for two things: the fifth haven of Thiruthani Murugan Temple or Sri Subramanya Swamy Temple (Lord Muruga). It is also where the first president of India, Dr. Sarvapalli Radha Krishnan, was born. People from all over the country come to the temple of Sri Subramanya Swamy all year long. Tiruttani is one of the best places to visit in Tirupati.

Thiruthani is 15 kilometres from the border with Andhra Pradesh. Besides the Sri Subramanya Swamy Temple, many other shrines are also significant. For example, the Santhana Venugopalapuram Temple, which is also called Nimbaka Kshethram, and the 9th-century Veetrirunda Perumal Temple see a lot of tourists and followers every year. Thiruthani is about more than just the museums and art galleries. Nature fans also love a lot of the same things that people who love cities do.

What is Thiruttani famous for?

Tiruttani is a small town in Tamil Nadu that is best known for two things: it is the fifth home of Lord Muruga (Sri Subramanya Swamy), and it may also be known as the birthplace of India's first president, the late Dr. Sarvapalli Radha Krishnan. Tiruttani city is worth the visit during the Tirupati tour package.

How many steps are there in Thiruttani?

As there are 365 days in a year, there are 365 steps on the hill. Murugan has six homes, and this is the fifth one. The other five are the Palani Murugan Temple, the Swamimalai Murugan Temple, the Thiruchendur Murugan Temple, the Thiruparankundram, and the Pazhamudircholai Murugan Temple.

The best time to visit

Even though it's hot all year, the best time to visit Thiruthani is from September to February, when it rains a lot and is more extraordinary. Those who are willing to face the heat can go from March to July when it is scorched and hot, and the sun shines for 5 to 10 hours a day.
