Sripuram, Near Vellore

The holy Sripuram Golden Temple is in Thirumalaikodi, which is in the southern part of Vellore in Tamil Nadu. People often go there on pilgrimages because it is close to Bangalore and one of the must-see places during the Tirupati tour package.

What is Sripuram famous for?

The temple is on 100 acres of land and was built by the Sri Narayani Peedam non-profit organisation in Vellore. It is led by Sri Sakthi Amma, also known as "Narayani Amma."

Aarti, another essential practice at this spot, happens every morning and evening by lighting about 1008 lamps. This Vellore pilgrimage park is a popular place for tourists to seek the Lord's benefits. It's open all year. Sripuram is one of the best places to visit in Tirupati.

History

The temple in Sripuram is for the goddess Mahalakshmi. It was built in 2007. The temple is 100 acres of land and was constructed by Sri Narayani Peetham in Vellore. It is led by the spiritual leader Sri Sakthi Amma. There is gold on both the inside and outside of the Vimana and the Ardha Mandapa. Sripuram is the world's biggest house of gold. It was made with 1.5 tons of gold. The temple cost 600 crores to build. It is a well-known place to visit in Vellore.

Architecture 

The temple is in the Dravidian style and has beautiful art on it. Sripuram design shows a road in the shape of a star (Sri Chakra) that is more than 1.8 km long. The temple is in the middle of a beautiful garden that is under proper maintenance. To get to the temple in the middle, you have to walk along the star path.

From the front door of the temple, it takes about a km to walk to the centre of Gopuram. You can park at the centre, and lockers and shoe racks are available. You cannot bring a camera, cell phone, or MP3 player.
