Talakona Waterfalls is the largest waterfall in the area and is famous for picnics. It is in Sri Venkateswara National Park. People think the water can heal them, and it comes from an unknown underground stream. The attraction is also well-known for trekking, and several trails go around it that take you through beautiful nature areas. The Talakona Waterfalls are one of the most beautiful places to visit in Tirupati.

The waterfall is small and lovely. The area also has a small pool where tourists can swim. The path to the waterfall goes along a dry, rocky river bed. On either side of the trail, cliffs rise sharply, and trees block the sun, making the atmosphere creepy. Most tourists go to Talakona, but fewer people go to Nelakonna. The path there is rough and challenging.

What is special about Talakona Waterfall?

The Talakona waterfall is the largest in Andhra Pradesh, falling 270 feet. The woods near the falls have been turned into ecotourism areas, so it is possible to access this part of Venkateswara National Park, which is usually off-limits.

Further, because Talakona waterfall is deep in a forest, there are many exciting and undiscovered places to visit nearby. One lucky person might see a Golden Gecko or a Mouse Deer in the wild. The park also has beautiful hiking trails for people who like to take risks. Bird watchers and people who love nature will love this place. All you have to do is sit by the water and enjoy the peace.

The best time to visit Talakona Waterfalls

It's best to visit between October and January, especially during the rainy season. At this time of year, the forest around the falls is very green, and a few small streams cut through it. The waterfall is worth a visit during the Tirupati tour package.
